Three-Year Outcomes of ABiC for IOP Control in Post-Keratoplasty Patients

The effectiveness and safety of ab-interno canaloplasty (ABiC) for managing intraocular pressure (IOP) in post-keratoplasty patients were evaluated over three years. A retrospective study involving 16 eyes (7 penetrating keratoplasty, 9 endothelial keratoplasty) revealed significant IOP reduction from a preoperative mean of 25.8±7.2 mmHg to 13.1±3.9 mmHg at three years (p=0.009). A ≥20% IOP reduction was achieved in 83.3% of eyes, with 66.7% maintaining IOP ≤15 mmHg. Glaucoma medication use decreased by 28.6% at three years. Graft clarity was preserved except for one late failure requiring repeat EK. Postoperative complications were minimal, with transient hyphema in two patients. These findings indicate ABiC as a safe and effective option for IOP control and graft survival in post-keratoplasty patients.
