The phase 3 AMPLIFY trial (NCT03836261) compared acalabrutinib–venetoclax regimens with chemoimmunotherapy in 867 untreated CLL patients. At 36 months, progression-free survival was higher with acalabrutinib–venetoclax (76.5%) and acalabrutinib–venetoclax–obinutuzumab (83.1%) than with chemoimmunotherapy (66.5%, P≤0.004).

Blocking miR-30e-5p reduced atherosclerosis in obese and atherosclerotic mice, highlighting a potential therapeutic pathway.
