Aclaris Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACRS) reported that the Phase 2b study of zunsemetinib (ATI-450) did not meet its primary or secondary efficacy endpoints in patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA; ATI-450-RA-202). The trial, involving 251 patients across three treatment arms, showed no significant differences in ACR20, ACR50, ACR70 responses, or DAS28-CRP between zunsemetinib and placebo at 12 weeks. No notable safety concerns were identified. Consequently, Aclaris will cease further development of the ATI-450 program, including halting the ongoing Phase 2a trial in psoriatic arthritis.
