
Despite extensive research on the interplay between education and health, a new metric, the Educational Burden of Disease (EBoD), is shedding light on how adolescent health impacts academic success. Traditionally, single disorders like diabetes, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and others were studied separately. However, there's a pressing need to understand how overall health affects educational outcomes. Adolescence, a pivotal stage marked by physical growth, social and emotional challenges, and identity formation, can shape lifelong prospects. UNESCO's health-promoting school policy underscores the importance of fostering health in educational settings.
