Advanced Optical Imaging for Bladder Cancer Detection

This study evaluates advanced optical imaging techniques for bladder cancer detection and diagnosis, comparing their sensitivity and specificity. Techniques assessed include narrow-band imaging (NBI), autofluorescence imaging (AFI), photodynamic diagnosis (PDD), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and others. NBI and PDD showed high sensitivity, while OCT excelled in staging and grading with high specificity. Further research is needed to integrate these techniques into clinical practice.
