Macular edema (ME) is a major cause of vision loss, often requiring repeated treatments with anti-VEGF agents and corticosteroids. This review explores combination therapies, such as anti-VEGF with macular laser photocoagulation or corticosteroids, for diabetic macular edema (DME), retinal vein occlusion-associated ME (RVO-ME), and uveitic macular edema (UME). While combination approaches show promise in reducing treatment burden and improving outcomes, further large-scale studies are needed to optimize long-term efficacy and safety.
