Aerobic Exercise Training Response in Preterm-Born Young Adults with Elevated Blood Pressure and Stage 1 Hypertension

This study investigated the effect of aerobic exercise training on the response of preterm-born and term-born individuals to exercise. The study involved 203 participants, with 102 assigned to the intervention group and 101 to the control group. The results showed that aerobic exercise training significantly improved the peak oxygen uptake and ventilatory anaerobic threshold of both preterm-born and term-born individuals, with no significant difference between the groups. The study suggests that exercise training can improve cardiovascular health in both preterm-born and term-born individuals.
