This study explores the impact of combining semaglutide treatment and aerobic training on pancreatic β-cell secretory function in 31 patients with type 2 diabetes. The 12-week intervention revealed that both semaglutide and training individually increased insulin secretion, and their combination synergistically enhanced β-cell secretory function. The total insulin secretion with the combined approach was significantly greater than that with training alone, emphasizing the potential benefits of this dual strategy in managing type 2 diabetes.
