Changes in social zeitgebers impact the alignment of biological and social clocks, influencing social jetlag. Analysis of longitudinal sleep data from 2439 users of the SleepScore app (500,415 nights) revealed that social jetlag decreases with age, particularly post-retirement, with a 50% reduction. Behavioral factors like chronotype, stress, caffeine, and alcohol had minor effects, but the age effect remained robust, highlighting reduced social obligations' role in diminishing jetlag.
