This study aimed to characterize non-angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI)-induced angioedema presentations and identify risk factors for patient disposition and potential airway intervention. Analyzing the medical records of 181 adult Emergency Department patients with non-ACEI-induced angioedema, significant factors associated with airway intervention included diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial pressure (MAP), dysphonia, and specific anatomic locations of edema. These findings contribute valuable insights for risk assessment and patient management in non-ACEI-induced angioedema cases, emphasizing the importance of certain clinical indicators in determining the need for airway intervention.
