Albuminuria Severity in Non-Diabetic CKD: Kidney and Heart Outcomes

This study examined kidney and cardiovascular outcomes based on albuminuria levels in non-diabetic CKD patients from the CRIC study. Results showed that higher albuminuria was linked to increased kidney and cardiovascular risks. Patients with normoalbuminuria experienced slower CKD progression and only modestly lower cardiovascular risk compared to those with higher albuminuria. These findings highlight the importance of albuminuria levels in managing non-diabetic CKD and guiding future interventions.
