The study has found that using autogenous partially demineralized dentin matrix (APDDM) for alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) in severely periodontally compromised sockets yields promising results. The study compared this technique to spontaneous healing (SH) and found that ARP with APDDM led to significant increases in ridge width and bone height. After a 4-month healing time, bone volume increased substantially in the APDDM group compared to the SH group. Histomorphometric analysis showed that APDDM particles were surrounded by newly formed bone, indicating the effectiveness of this approach.
