Analysis of Complications in (Crico‐) Tracheal Resection Anastomosis in Adults: A Multicenter Study

The standard gold treatment for advanced laryngotracheal stenosis is partial crico‐tracheal or tracheal resection and anastomosis. However, high postoperative complication rates potentially burden these procedures. This study investigated the patterns of complications and their predictors in a multicentric cohort. PCTRA and TRA have an excellent success rate even when performed for high‐grade LTS. However, a significant percentage of patients may experience complications associated with a longer duration of hospitalization or the need for additional surgeries. In addition, medical comorbidities were independently related to an increased risk of complications.
