The study investigated the correlation between the angle of progression (AOP) and maternal complications following second-stage cesarean delivery. Of 25 cases, 10 (40%) experienced composite adverse maternal outcomes. Those with complications had wider AOP (136.7° vs. 124.7°, p = .017). Logistic regression analysis showed a significant correlation (OR = 1.15, p = .028). AOP showed a better predictive value for complications (AUC = 0.79) than the manually measured fetal head station (AUC = 0.53). The findings suggest AOP assessment may help identify at-risk cases before surgery.
