Both fully arthroscopic and arthroscopically assisted anterior latissimus dorsi (LD) tendon transfers effectively reduced pain, improved range of motion, and strengthened internal rotation in patients with irreparable chronic subscapularis (SSC) tears. A study of 34 patients with a mean follow-up of 35 months showed significant improvements in pain, Constant score, and Subjective Shoulder Value (all P < .001). Both surgical methods produced comparable outcomes, offering surgeons flexible treatment options for SSC tears.
