A new study in India sheds light on the connection between intimate partner violence (IPV) and women's nutritional health. The research identified four distinct groups of IPV experiences among women: Low Physical and Low Sexual IPV (72%), High Physical and Low Sexual IPV (12.5%), High Sexual and Low Physical IPV (12%), and High Physical and High Sexual IPV (3.5%). The study revealed that women in the latter group who experienced high physical and sexual IPV were at the highest risk of being underweight. These findings highlight the urgent need to address the impact of IPV on women's well-being and nutrition.
