A recent study compared the prevalence of symptoms among different variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, namely pre-Delta, Delta, and Omicron. The results showed that individuals infected with the Omicron variant were more likely to experience symptoms commonly associated with respiratory viruses, such as sore throat, cough, and runny nose, than pre-Delta and Delta variants. However, they were less likely to experience chest pain, shortness of breath, loss of taste, and loss of smell. The findings highlight the differences in clinical presentation among these variants.
