
This retrospective cross-sectional study examined the connection between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25[OH]D) levels and lipid profiles in osteoporosis (OP) patients. The study included 2063 patients from 2015 to 2022. Serum 25(OH)D levels showed inverse links with triglycerides (TGs) and positive associations with HDL, apolipoprotein-A, and lipoprotein A. A nonlinear correlation existed between 25(OH)D and total cholesterol (TC), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). Positive correlations between 25(OH)D and TC, LDL-C occurred up to 10.04 ng/mL 25(OH)D levels, not beyond. The study implies the potential benefits of vitamin D for bone health and lipid levels, possibly impacting cardiovascular risk in osteoporosis patients, warranting further intervention-based research.
