A systematic review examined 14 studies encompassing 2261 subjects to identify assessment methods for spinal flexibility in adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis pre-bracing. Nine methods were identified, with supine radiography being the most common. Results showed a strong correlation between spinal flexibility and in-brace outcomes, including initial Cobb angle, correction rate, curve progression, and regression. Moderate evidence supported spinal flexibility as a predictive factor for bracing outcomes.
