AstraZeneca Pharma India has obtained approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for its cancer drug Tremelimumab Concentrate. The drug, administered intravenously combined with Durvalumab, has been approved for treating unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) patients. The approval is based on the Phase III HIMALAYA clinical trial conducted in 181 centers across 16 countries, including India. AstraZeneca Pharma will now launch the Tremelimumab solution in India, available in 20 mg/ml presentations, to address the specified indication. AstraZeneca aims to enhance patient outcomes through a comprehensive approach to cancer treatment, focusing on combinations and more sustainable responses.
