ATAB Isolates Linked to Tigecycline Resistance, Higher Mortality Risk

The study analyzed 254 ATAB isolates from 2018 to 2022, revealing high tigecycline resistance, frequent nosocomial transmission, and capsular type KL2 dominance. ICU admission and immunosuppressant use were significant risk factors for infection. Patients with ATAB infections had significantly higher 28-day mortality (32.8%) compared to those with adeN-complete isolates. Global prevalence of ATAB highlights the urgent need for targeted infection control measures.
