This retrospective observational study aimed to investigate glycaemic outcomes in individuals with type 1 diabetes using either MiniMed™ 780G or Tandem t:slim X2™ Control-IQ automated insulin delivery (AID) systems. The study included 231 participants observed for 3-12 months post-initiation of the AID system. The primary outcomes measured were the percentage of time in the target glucose range (TIR70-180 mg/dl), mean glucose management indicator (GMI), and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels. The study found improvements in TIR70-180 mg/dl, HbA1c levels, and GMI after AID system initiation, highlighting the positive effects of these technologies in managing type 1 diabetes.

Blocking miR-30e-5p reduced atherosclerosis in obese and atherosclerotic mice, highlighting a potential therapeutic pathway.

Varenicline increased tear production but needs further comparative validation.
