A study highlighted the effectiveness of hybrid closed-loop insulin therapy for pregnant women with type 1 diabetes. Results showed that the closed-loop group spent significantly more time within the pregnancy-specific glucose target range (68.2%) than the standard care group (55.6%). Secondary outcomes supported these findings, indicating improved glycemic control with the closed-loop system. Safety concerns were minimal, making hybrid closed-loop therapy a promising option for managing type 1 diabetes during pregnancy, according to the study.
