A multicenter retrospective study compared complications of cannulated hip screws (CHS) and dynamic hip screws (DHS) for treating femoral neck fractures. The study included 85 patients from January 2017 to December 2022. Mortality rates for DHS (15.9%) and CHS (17.1%) showed no significant difference. Non-union occurred in 4.5% (DHS) and 4.9% (CHS). Avascular necrosis (AVN) was higher in DHS (9.1%) than in CHS (4.9%). Revisions were required in 15.9% (DHS) and 14.6% (CHS). Overall, DHS demonstrated superiority in AVN rates, while other outcomes showed no significant disparity between the techniques.

Among patients with CKD, DCB treatment resulted in a 2-year target lesion failure rate of 23.6%, compared with 30.0% with balloon angioplasty. The treatment effect was consistent across patients with and without CKD, suggesting that baseline renal function did not significantly influence DCB outcomes over 2 years.

Treatment-related infections and life-threatening adverse events were also less frequent, although neurotoxic events were more common with blinatumomab.
