The meta-analysis of 29 studies (2,548 patients) found greater reductions in systolic (-4.51 mmHg) and diastolic (-3.04 mmHg) blood pressure with surgery. Roux-en-Y gastric bypass had the strongest effect. Significant improvements in FBS (-30.44 mg/dl), HbA1c (-1.11%), triglycerides (-39.75 mg/dl), and HDL (+7.39 mg/dl) reinforce bariatric surgery’s role in managing obesity-related metabolic disorders.
