When combined with narrowband UV-B phototherapy, Baricitinib significantly reduced disease activity and provided meaningful repigmentation in patients with severe, active vitiligo. In 49 patients, the baricitinib group showed a 44.8% improvement in the Vitiligo Area Scoring Index (VASI) at week 36, compared to 9.2% in the placebo group. The combination treatment also improved quality of life, with no significant difference in adverse events.
