The study evaluates the role of B lineage cells and immunoglobulin E (IgE) in allergic rhinitis (AR) and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Both conditions have evidence of type 2 inflammation, B-cell activation and differentiation, and IgE production, but there are differences in their clinical and serological profiles and treatments utilized. The article suggests that more systematic studies are needed to further understand these diseases and their treatment.
