Bimekizumab's Long-Term Safety and Efficacy in Psoriatic Arthritis

The 52-week study on bimekizumab's safety and efficacy for patients with active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) who previously had inadequate responses or intolerance to tumor necrosis factor inhibitors concluded with promising results. Out of 400 patients, 86.8% completed the trial, with no reported active tuberculosis, uveitis, or inflammatory bowel disease cases. Sustained efficacy was noted from week 16 to 52, significantly improving clinical and patient-reported outcomes. Notably, 51.7% of bimekizumab-treated patients achieved ≥50% improvement in the American College of Rheumatology criteria, and 65.9% achieved complete skin clearance by week 52. Overall, bimekizumab demonstrated a favorable safety profile and sustained efficacy throughout the study duration
