A study compared sirolimus-eluting and durable-polymer stents in high-bleeding risk patients undergoing short dual antiplatelet therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention. The Bioflow-DAPT trial included 1948 patients across 18 countries. Results showed similar outcomes in both groups, with 36% and 3.4% experiencing the primary outcome, respectively. The biodegradable-polymer stent demonstrated noninferiority for death, myocardial infarction, or stent thrombosis. The study supports the efficacy of both stent platforms for high-bleeding-risk patients.
