
The study compared blood eosinophils, IgE, and plasma proteins across asthma, COPD, ACO, and healthy adults. While eosinophils showed no differences, ACO patients had higher IgE than COPD. CXCL9 and MCP-3 emerged as potential age-stratified biomarkers distinguishing ACO from asthma and COPD. CDCP1 levels and age over 60 were negatively associated with ACO. Findings support CXCL9 and MCP-3 as novel diagnostic biomarkers for ACO.
