The study examined the relationship between biventricular cardiac power output (BCPO) and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Patients with HFpEF were categorized based on BCPO reserve, and those with low BCPO reserve had more severe cardiac impairments, worse renal function, and a higher risk for adverse events such as HF hospitalization or death. The study suggests that enhancing biventricular reserve may be a potential therapy for patients with HFpEF and reduced BCPO reserve.
