CBL methods overestimate postpartum blood loss, limiting clinical relevance. A study of 51 women compared WBBL (median 350 mL) with Gross’s formula (649 mL, p = 0.008) and pre-postpartum Hb difference (750 mL, p < 0.001). Concordance with WBBL was 61% and 43%, respectively. Despite moderate correlations, CBL methods overestimate bleeding and lack clinical or research utility for postpartum hemorrhage assessment.
