The study assessed sarcopenia screening tools among Thai older adults using data from 2,543 participants. Calf circumference proved the most effective diagnostic tool, with AUC values of 0.897 (males) and 0.878 (females), outperforming SARC-F (AUC: 0.508) and SARC-CalF (AUC: 0.729). Adjusted cutoff points (<33 cm for males, <31 cm for females) improved diagnostic accuracy to 82%. Findings highlight the limitations of SARC-F and SARC-CalF and suggest incorporating additional parameters for better sarcopenia screening.
