The study examined the link between cardiovascular risk factors (CRF) and premature all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality in US adults under 65. Data from 2006 to 2014 were analyzed. A composite CRF score (0–6) based on six factors was used. Participants with poor CRF profiles were more likely to be NH Black and have lower education/income. All-cause and CVD mortality rates were 3–4 times higher for those with poor CRF profiles. Targeted prevention is crucial to reduce premature mortality in the US.
