Bidirectional Mendelian randomization analysis suggests a causal link between type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM), gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), and fasting insulin (FI) levels with endometriosis risk. Genetically predicted T1DM and GDM elevate endometriosis risk, while FI shows a significant causal effect on endometriosis. No causal association was found between endometriosis and fasting glucose or glycosylated hemoglobin A1c. These findings provide insights into the etiology and clinical management of endometriosis, emphasizing the potential impact of glycemic traits on disease risk.
