CBT-I Found Effective for Adolescent Insomnia

CBT-I Found Effective for Adolescent Insomnia

The meta-analysis of four randomized controlled trials (527 participants) found that cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) significantly improved subjective sleep quality (Hedge's g = 0.4) and insomnia symptoms (Hedge's g = 1.04) in adolescents aged 10–19 years. These results support the efficacy of CBT-I across delivery modalities. Further high-quality trials are needed to optimize delivery methods and confirm these findings.
