A study investigated chemotherapy (CT) monotherapy's efficacy and safety in patients with recurrent intermediate/high-risk factors post-radical hysterectomy for stage IB-IIA cervical cancer. Sixty-six patients received CT exclusively, 42 in the intermediate-risk and 24 in the high-risk group. Treatment included paclitaxel and cisplatin for 4–6 cycles. The 3-year and 5-year relapse-free survival (RFS) rates were satisfactory, with no significant difference between risk groups. Recurrence rates were low in both groups. These findings suggest CT monotherapy post-hysterectomy provides favourable survival outcomes and tolerable adverse effects across risk categories.

Current care emphasizes diagnosis, limited targeted testing, disease monitoring and stepwise treatment, beginning with second-generation H1-antihistamines and up-dosing when needed. Omalizumab and newer therapies such as dupilumab and remibrutinib expand options for refractory disease, while future care may be guided by biomarkers and disease endotypes.

However, limited comparative evidence highlights the need for species-specific, high-quality randomized trials.

A retrospective study of 33 women with postpartum hemorrhage during cesarean delivery found that uterine compression sutures achieved hemostasis in 69.7% of cases. A meta-analysis of five randomized controlled trials found that as-needed ICS–SABA significantly reduced asthma exacerbations compared with SABA-only reliever therapy. ICS–SABA lowered exacerbation rates and the risk of experiencing at least one exacerbation by 31%, while extending time to first exacerbation and reducing systemic corticosteroid exposure by about 39 mg, without increasing adverse events.
