A study analyzed data from 26,280 participants in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2011-2020) to investigate the relationship between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and osteoarthritis (OA). The findings showed that OA patients had a significantly higher prevalence of CKD, especially among women. The association between CKD and OA persisted after adjusting for various factors, suggesting that OA patients should monitor their kidney health closely.
