This prospective study on head and neck cancer patients receiving immunotherapy or chemotherapy after platinum-based treatment aimed to identify predictive biomarkers. In the immunotherapy group, high levels of low-density neutrophils (LDNs) were associated with shorter progression-free survival, suggesting potential intrinsic resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Additionally, low levels of interleukin-7 (IL7) were linked to shorter overall survival.
