Circulating low density neutrophils are associated with resistance to anti‐PD1 immunotherapy in squamous head and neck cancer

This prospective study on head and neck cancer patients receiving immunotherapy or chemotherapy after platinum-based treatment aimed to identify predictive biomarkers. In the immunotherapy group, high levels of low-density neutrophils (LDNs) were associated with shorter progression-free survival, suggesting potential intrinsic resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Additionally, low levels of interleukin-7 (IL7) were linked to shorter overall survival.
