Clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with isolated cardiac sarcoidosis

The study investigated 475 patients with Cardiac Sarcoidosis (CS), where 25.1% had iCS diagnoses. Patients with iCS exhibited more pronounced cardiovascular issues upon diagnosis, such as atrial fibrillation and lower left ventricular ejection fraction, compared to systemic CS (sCS) counterparts. Over a median 42.3 months follow-up, 29.7% experienced primary outcomes, but after adjustment for other factors, iCS didn't independently predict poor prognosis. This study offers valuable insights into iCS patient profiles and outcomes.
