Clinical effects of a novel deep learning-based rehabilitation application on cardiopulmonary function

In a recent study, researchers developed a novel deep learning-based rehabilitation application (DRA) aimed at enhancing cardiopulmonary function, balance, gait, and daily activities in adolescents with hemiplegic cerebral palsy (CP). The DRA evaluates patients' functional abilities and tailors therapeutic interventions akin to conventional physical therapy (CPT). A comparative analysis between DRA and CPT revealed that DRA significantly improved the 6-minute walking test, Berg balance scale, and modified Barthel index in adolescents with hemiplegic CP. These findings suggest that DRA may offer more effective rehabilitation outcomes than traditional CPT methods for adolescents with hemiplegic CP.
