A preliminary assessment of the Gluclas decision support system's accuracy and safety during hypoglycemic clamp studies has yielded encouraging results. Involving 32 participants with diverse glucose-insulin regulation profiles, Gluclas provided glucose infusion rate suggestions that were followed or reviewed by investigators. The study found an 84% acceptance rate of suggestions, with a mean deviation of 30.33 mg/min. Notably, the system demonstrated high accuracy (MAE 0.16 mmol/L, MAPE 6.12%) and safety (CV 4.90%) during hypoglycemic episodes, making it a viable option across various patient groups.
