Clinical Tests for Assessing Meniscal Repair Healing: A Review

The systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to identify clinical tests correlating with MRI or second-look arthroscopy (SLA) findings to assess meniscal repair healing. Despite hypothesizing correlations, no significant relationships were found between clinical tests (e.g., McMurray, joint line tenderness, effusion) and MRI/SLA outcomes. However, a lack of joint line tenderness was highly specific for healed meniscal repairs, suggesting it could be a key indicator for postoperative assessment.
