Chronic prurigo (CPG) is an inflammatory skin disease linked to multiple comorbidities spanning dermatological, cardiovascular, psychiatric, and other systemic conditions. Through a comprehensive analysis of 17 relevant studies, strong associations were established between CPG and various ailments, including atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, hepatitis B, diabetes, hyperlipoproteinemia, heart failure, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, osteoporosis, and thyroid disease. Understanding these comorbidities is crucial for the effective management of individuals affected by CPG.
