An analysis of three studies involving 176 patients showed a borderline significant reduction in intraocular pressure (IOP) favoring AADI at three months. Both implants demonstrated similar surgical success rates and complication rates, highlighting AADI as a promising alternative. Further research is needed to confirm these results and explore cost-effectiveness, especially in resource-limited settings.
