
The study aimed to compare the functional and cosmetic outcomes of the innervated digital artery perforator (IDAP) flap and direct-flow homodigital flap for fingertip soft tissue amputations. Between 2020 and 2022, 32 patients were divided into two groups: IDAP (n=14) and homodigital flap (n=18). Key metrics included defect size, cold intolerance, venous congestion, Sollerman hand function scores, Seddon sensory test scores, and static two-point discrimination (s2PD). The IDAP group showed promising sensory recovery; however, the homodigital flap group demonstrated higher mean Sollerman scores (75±2.64 vs. 73±3.34).
