According to the American Journal of Sports Medicine, labral graft size ranges from 5 to 7 mm2 for reconstruction. A thicker labral graft could provide improved mechanical stability and cartilage protection. In terms of clinical outcomes, no differences were discovered. Both graft kinds and thicknesses could be regarded as similar options for primary reconstruction. Although a thicker-graft labral repair appeared to cover the joint surface better, clinical outcomes showed that a thicker graft, whether autologous or allogenic, had no advantage over a thinner graft.
