The multicenter retrospective study evaluated the impact of a comprehensive andrological assessment on infertility management, focusing on couples with isolated male factor infertility. Conducted between 2015 and 2022, it involved 1,014 couples seeking natural conception, 266 of whom had previous ART failure. A multidisciplinary approach led to a reduction in idiopathic infertility from 30–50% to 8%. Targeted treatments, including antibiotics, corticosteroids, FSH, and varicocele repair, resulted in a 40.9% spontaneous pregnancy rate. In couples with isolated male factors, male genital tract inflammation, infection, and hypospermatogenesis were commonly observed. The study supports the effectiveness of comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in restoring fertility.

A nationwide Colombian study identified 4,608 healthcare encounters related to childhood interstitial and diffuse lung disease (chILD) from 2016–2024. Average annual prevalence was 3.32 per 100,000 children, highest among infants and with a secondary rise during adolescence. Reported cases increased annually (IRR 1.022), while declining markedly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
