
The study evaluated contrast-derived indices as a feasible, accurate alternative to adenosine for coronary microvascular function testing. Among 93 patients, contrast-based measures showed high specificity and negative predictive value for detecting microvascular dysfunction. A hybrid diagnostic approach reduced adenosine use by 40%, with significant cost savings. These findings support contrast thermodilution as a clinically useful and cost-effective method for rapid microvascular assessment.
