The study explored the relationship between mean arterial pressure (MAP) and capillary refill time (CRT) in patients with septic shock. A meta-correlation analysis was conducted on 10 studies comprising 917 patients, which showed a statistically significant but poor negative correlation between MAP and CRT. This indicates that achieving a MAP above 65 mm Hg during septic shock resuscitation does not assure normal tissue perfusion. Subgroup analyses were also performed with similar results. No significant correlations were found in the subanalysis concerning norepinephrine doses.
